Espiche Golf Course
The course at Espiche Golf Club delivers a conventional Portuguese golf experience, with the resort being surrounded by beautiful vineyards and vistas of the Monchique Mountains, as well as a range of aquatic hazards. While on a golf trip in the Algarve, this lovely club is a must-play.
This par-72 parkland course of 6,400 yards, is a traditional Algarve golf course from the first hole. The par-5 first hole (which dips 80 feet from the tee before rising back to the same height at the green) offers a taste of the sights and challenges that await golf lovers. The third hole is the most difficult on the front nine, measuring 450 yards uphill all the way. The par five 10th hole is without a doubt one of the best in the Algarve, and while players may be tempted to try for the green in two, the fairway grows progressively tighter as the green is approached.
The course's risk-reward mentality is evident on many holes, and you'll always feel like you left a couple out there to improve on in your next round. A buggy is required for this superb course due to the abundant number of hills.
